Relief Moulded Jugs

A lovely jug by Pinder, Bourne about 1875 in the pattern of Japanese Spray.  It is approx 9 ins in height and has a dark tan ground with white sprays and gilt bands.  It has a pewter lid and has no chips or restoration.  Marked with the reg. mark which is heavily glazed over making it difficult to read.   This is a very nice example.  Price $360 US. A rare 'Wisdom and Providence' jug, c.1850, 7 ins tall in white.  Probably by Alcock.  Price $250 US.

An 'Apostle' jug , c.1842, in white showing the apostles.  Approx 8 ins tall.  Made by Charles Meigh it was one of the most popular of the Victorian jugs of the period.  In excellent condition.  Price $225 US. Mvc-1004f.jpg (61784 bytes)
A William Brownfield jug in 'Fern' pattern with a nice colour combination c.1859 and with a pewter lid.  It has a hairline crack of about 4 ins not easily seen.  Price $155 US. Mvc-008f.jpg (90911 bytes)

An early hunting jug by Phillips and Bagster c.1820 called 'The Kill'.  Maker's name on the dog's collar.  It has a chip and a 3 ins hairline crack, but is unusual.  Price $225 US.

A Doulton Lambeth jug in excellent condition.  It stands approx 10 ins tall and is a 3 pint jug.  Dating from c.1885 with the Doulton Lambeth circular mark, it is a fine jug.  Price $375 US.
